First, find out what your site is built on
Try these in order:
- Ask whoever built the site or sends you the bill for it.
- Search your email for "website", "hosting" or "domain renewal". The sender usually tells you.
- Scroll to the very bottom of your website. Many builders show their name there ("Powered by…").
If it's another builder (GoDaddy, Hostinger, Jimdo, Weebly, Google Sites and others), look in the editor for an element called HTML, Embed, Code or Custom code, and paste your form code into it. If only plain HTML is allowed, use the plain version. Then publish and test on your phone.
If a developer or agency looks after your site, send them this message:
Hi, please replace the contact form on our website with this MyFormConnect form. Form ID: {form ID}. Domain ID: {domain ID}. Setup instructions: https://myformconnect.io/skills/myformconnect/html/SKILL.md. Fields: name, email, phone (optional), message, and an unticked consent checkbox linking to our privacy page. If you can't log in to your website at all, reply to any course email and tell us what you know: who built it, where it's hosted, and roughly when. We'll help you work out the next step. It's a common problem and there's usually a way back in.
