You've built a lot in four weeks. Now you'll learn to see what's working, in 10 minutes a month.
First, turn on visitor counting (one time only). In Cloudflare, open your website project and look for Web Analytics (sometimes under Metrics). Turn it on. It counts visitors without cookies or tracking people. Then add one line to your privacy page: "We count visits anonymously to see which pages are useful." Use the change routine.
*Website not on Cloudflare?* Use your platform's built-in statistics instead. Look for Analytics or Statistics in your editor.
The three numbers:
1. How many people visited? (Cloudflare Web Analytics) Look at the total visitors this month, and which pages they visited.
2. How many sent an enquiry? (MyFormConnect dashboard) Look at enquiries received this month, not counting spam. If your dashboard shows how many people saw or started your form, note those numbers too.
3. What did people search for? (Google Search Console → Performance) Look at the searches that showed your site, and how many people clicked.
Write down three things:
- Visitors this month: \_\_\_
- Enquiries this month: \_\_\_
- The top 3 searches that found you: \_\_\_
How to read them:
- Few visitors? Keep building listings, reviews and service pages. It takes a few months.
- Visitors but few enquiries? Look at your contact section again (day 9) and your prices and answers (days 22 and 23).
- Searches you didn't expect? Maybe that's a service or question worth its own page or FAQ answer.
Early numbers will be small. That's normal. What matters is the direction over the next few months.
Done when: visitor counting is on, your privacy page is updated, and you've written down your three numbers.
