Free HTML Internship Application Form Generator

Startups and mid-market teams hire interns on a marketing site long before they buy Greenhouse. The form should ask for the cycle (summer, autumn, spring), a resume or CV, and why the placement matters—language that works for US unpaid-versus-paid debates and UK sandwich / industrial placements.

How to Use This Form Generator

1

Create a cycle Form ID

Use a new form per summer so last year’s applicants are not mixed with this cohort.

2

State paid versus unpaid in the page copy

US wage-and-hour and UK NMW rules are not solved by a form, but honesty in copy reduces junk applications.

3

Copy the HTML under deadlines

Put dates above the fold.

4

Shortlist in the dashboard

Invite to a case study or video screen from a real calendar, not from a spreadsheet of Gmail.

What is an internship application form?

An internship application is a time-boxed request to join a team while studying. US programmes care about graduation year, CPT/OPT conversations after an offer, and whether the intern can be in the office for ten weeks. UK programmes care about sandwich-year length, visa sponsorship honesty, and whether the student needs a graded placement report.

Unlike a full employment application, you should not demand a decade of jobs. You need evidence of coursework, projects, and dates that match the academic calendar.

What intern coordinators need on round one

Students apply from library Wi-Fi between lectures. A twelve-page form loses the people you wanted.

  • Name, university email, and phone including WhatsApp-capable mobiles for UK campus hiring fairs.
  • Team or internship title when engineering, marketing, and finance share one careers URL.
  • Resume or CV link plus a portfolio URL in the same field if you tell them that is allowed.
  • Cover letter or motivation capped in page copy to one page; students will paste essays if you do not say otherwise.
  • Availability dates in the experience box until you add a dedicated date field on the form.

Do not collect passport scans or Social Security on this form. US I-9 and UK Right to Work happen after a written offer.

Where internship applications currently live

Campus career services push Handshake and TargetConnect. Company sites still need their own intake.

1. HTML on the internships page

Best when the programme has a story, photos of last year’s cohort, and a deadline.

2. Handshake / TargetConnect

Great for volume on campus. You do not own the CSS or the export timing.

3. LinkedIn Easy Apply

Resumes arrive without the term dates you need. Use it as a top-of-funnel, not the system of record.

4. Professor email intros

Still how UK SME placements happen. Point the professor at this URL so you get structured rows.

Static internship landing pages

Seed-stage companies often have a Next.js marketing repo and no HRIS. Publish this form, turn on email to founders@, and export when the cycle closes.

If you recruit at US and UK universities, clone the page: resume and ZIP on one, CV and postcode on the other.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should interns attach a transcript?

Optional URL is enough for round one. GPA culture is stronger in the US; many UK courses do not issue a running GPA.

Can I ask about visa status?

Ask whether they will require sponsorship in a later, counsel-approved question. Do not improvise legal wording on a public form.

Is this for apprenticeships too?

You can rename labels. UK apprenticeship vacancies often need a separate government portal as well.

How do I handle group project links?

Tell applicants to put GitHub, Behance, or a Google Drive folder in the resume URL field.
